Entertainment Desk: Bollywood reel life pair Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza became the real life couple after being tied the knot on Friday as per the Marathi traditions in the presence of political biggies and celebrities.

The groom Riteish was seen wearing a white sherwani and red turban. Genelia was in a red and gold lehenga designed by Ritu Kumar. The wedding took place at Grand Hyatt hotel. The groom entered the hotel riding a white 'ghodi'.

Riteish's face was covered with a 'sehra' (flower veil). His father Vilasrao Deshmukh, who is the Congress Minister at Centre, was dressed in a brown sherwani.

The wedding took place in the presence of the political leaders like Sharad Pawar, Praful Patel, Subodh Kant Sahay, Sunil Tatkare and Johny Joseph.

B'town personalities like Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Kajol and Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Sajid Khan, Karan Johar, Shahid Kapoor, Ashutosh Gowariker, Sajid Nadiadwala, Satish Shah, Asin, Jacky Bhagnani, Vashu Bhagnani, Ramesh Taurani, Nishka and Neeta Lulla were present at the ceremony to bless the couple.

Riteish revealed his feelings on Twitter before getting prepared for the marriage saying "Saw the Last sunset as a Bachelor."

However, soon after the wedding, the actor posted his photo and Genelia with the caption "MR & MRS DESHMUKH".

The excitement and happiness were in the air and it was best noticed during sangeet, haldi, mehndi ceremonies before the wedding in three days.

The reel life pair of Riteish and Genelia was best appreciated in their Bollywood debut, 'Tujhe Meri Kasam' in 2003. Since then the couple had been dating, but hiding about their relationship.

The couple will be seen on screen together in their forthcoming film 'Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya', which will hit the theatres on February 24.
